His story follows Harry’s third year at Hogwarts when he is informed that a prisoner named Sirius Black has escaped from Azkaban and intends to kill him.
After The Prisoner of Azkaban, the production of the Harry Potter films moved to an eighteen-month cycle. Cuarón was shortlisted for director Callie Howrie and Kenneth Branagh. The actors from the previous installments returned to the movie with Gary Oldman, David Thewlis, and Emma Thompson. This was Michael Gambon’s first appearance as Professor Albus Dumbledore following the death of Richard Harris in 2002. Principal photography began in February 2003 at Leavesden Film Studios. It was the first film to start within the series to make extensive use of real-world locations, with sets built in Scotland and scenes filmed in London. Filming ended in November 2003. Main Suspense
Harry Potter spent another unfortunate summer with the Dursleys. When Aunt Marge Dursley insults his parents, he loses his temper and accidentally makes her inflate like a balloon and fly away. Fed up, Harry runs away from the Dursleys with his broom and trunk. A night bus pulls up and takes Harry to the Leaky Cauldron, where the Minister of Magic Cornelius Fudge forgives him for using magic outside of Hogwarts. After meeting his best friends Ron Weasley and Hermione Granger, Harry learns that Sirius Black, a convicted supporter of the dark wizard Lord Voldemort, has escaped from Azkaban’s prison and intends to kill him.
Ending
After Harry, Ron, and Hermione witness Buckbeak’s execution, Ron Scabbers’ pet rat bites him and runs away. As Ron chases him, a large dog appears and drags Ron and Scabbers into the pit at the base of the Rattling Willow. Although, They save Buckbeak from execution and witness the Dementors overpowering Harry and Sirius. The current Harry realizes that it was he who summoned the Patronus and did it again. Harry and Hermione rescue Sirius, who escapes with Buckbeak. He also returns the Marauder’s card to Harry, as he no longer has the authority to confiscate the contraband. Finally, Sirius sends Harry a Firebolt, and Harry happily takes it for a walk.
